This Privacy Policy explains how Debt Payoff ("we", "us", or "our") handles user information when you download, install, or use the Debt Payoff mobile application (available on Google Play) or interact with our official website (debtpayoffapp.com).

By using our application or web simulator, you agree to the collection and handling of minimal necessary operational information as described in this policy.

2. Zero-Knowledge Financial Data Policy

Unlike traditional personal finance apps that require you to authenticate via third-party aggregators (such as Plaid, Yodlee, or MX), Debt Payoff operates with zero external financial connectivity:

• check_circle Local-Only Storage: Any debt accounts, balances, interest rates (APR), monthly minimums, or payment histories you enter are stored exclusively in your device's private local SQLite/Room database sandbox.
• check_circle No Remote Cloud Sync: We do not operate remote databases or cloud servers that receive or index your entered loans. If you delete the app or clear its data, your records are deleted from your hardware.

3. Information We Collect & Why

We deliberately minimize any data collection to only what is strictly necessary to provide core operational services:

A. In-App Purchases & Subscription Data

When you purchase an optional Pro subscription or Lifetime unlock, transactions are processed exclusively through the Google Play Billing API. We do not receive or store your credit card, debit card, or billing address. We only receive a cryptographic purchase token from Google Play to verify that your Pro license is active.

B. Crash Diagnostics & Anonymous Telemetry

To ensure technical stability, prevent memory leaks, and debug application errors, our application may collect non-identifiable diagnostic metrics via standard Google Play Developer Console crash reports (e.g. device model, Android OS version, and stack traces of unexpected exceptions). These diagnostic logs never contain your entered debt amounts or account titles.

C. Website Usage Analytics

Our web simulator runs entirely in your browser's local JavaScript environment. Calculations performed on debtpayoffapp.com do not transmit your slider inputs to any backend server.

4. Device Permissions

The Debt Payoff Android app requests only standard, non-sensitive permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Used solely to deliver local on-device payment due date reminders and monthly rollover notifications that you explicitly schedule.
• Internet Access: Required strictly by Google Play Services for purchase receipt verification and license validation.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We interface with the following trusted infrastructure providers solely for app store delivery and monetization:

• Google Play Services / Google LLC: In-App Billing processing and app distribution. (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google AdMob (Free Tier Only): Used on the free tier to serve non-personalized or contextual ads. Pro tier users enjoy a 100% ad-free experience.
